About The Role

We are hiring an Associate System Administrator (Fresher) to support on-premises, virtualized, and cloud infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments. This role offers hands-on exposure to AWS/Azure cloud, virtualization, security, backups, monitoring, and automation, working closely with experienced system and cloud engineers.

Key Responsibilities

System Installation & Configuration (On-Prem & Cloud)

• Assist in installing, configuring, and updating Windows Server and Linux systems
• Support server hardware setup and maintenance

Recruitment & Staffing

• Assist in provisioning cloud VMs / EC2 / Azure VMs
• Perform basic system health checks and validations

Cloud Infrastructure Support (AWS / Azure)

• Support cloud environments (AWS or Azure – fundamentals)
• Assist with:
• Virtual Machines / EC2 / Azure VMs

Civil Engineering

• Storage services (EBS, Azure Disks, Object Storage)
• Networking basics (VPC, VNet, subnets, security groups)
• Monitor cloud resources for availability and cost usage
• Support hybrid infrastructure (on-prem + cloud)

User & Access Management

• Assist in managing users, groups, and permissions
• Support Active Directory and Group Policy
• Assist with IAM fundamentals in cloud platforms

Management

• Follow access control and security best practices

Security & Patch Management

• Apply OS and application security patches
• Monitor systems for security alerts
• Support firewalls and access rules

Cloud Storage

• Follow compliance and security guidelines

Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Assist in configuring and monitoring backups
• Verify backup success and report failures
• Participate in restore testing and DR drills
• Maintain backup and recovery documentation

Virtualization & Infrastructure

• Assist with VMware / Hyper-V virtual machines
• Support VM provisioning, snapshots, and troubleshooting
• Learn infrastructure optimization basics

Monitoring & Maintenance

• Monitor CPU, memory, disk, logs, and system health
• Assist with routine maintenance tasks
• Escalate alerts to senior engineers when required

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide L1/L2 support for server and cloud issues

Cloud Storage

• Troubleshoot OS, application, and connectivity problems
• Support incident resolution with senior engineers

Documentation & Automation

• Maintain server and cloud documentation
• Update SOPs and operational runbooks
• Learn Shell / PowerShell scripting
• Assist in basic task automation

Required Skills & Knowledge

Operating Systems

• Windows Server basics (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy)
• Linux fundamentals (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)
• System services, logs, and file systems

Cloud Fundamentals

• Basic understanding of AWS or Azure
• Cloud compute, storage, and networking basics

Virtualization

• Exposure to VMware or Hyper-V
• Understanding of VM resource allocation

Networking Basics

• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP fundamentals
• Awareness of firewalls and VPNs

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education & Certifications (Preferred)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / related field
