About the Role
We are seeking an Ethical Hacker (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on cybersecurity, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, security analysis, secure software development, and threat intelligence.
In this role, you will evaluate AI-generated outputs related to penetration testing methodologies, vulnerability analysis, security assessments, incident response, network security, application security, and cybersecurity best practices. Your expertise will help improve AI systems designed for cybersecurity reasoning, secure code evaluation, threat analysis, and security automation.
This position is ideal for cybersecurity professionals with experience in ethical hacking, penetration testing, red teaming, application security, security consulting, or vulnerability management.
Responsibilities
– Create deliverables addressing common cybersecurity and ethical hacking scenarios
– Annotate and evaluate AI-generated security assessments, penetration testing reports, vulnerability analyses, and remediation recommendations
– Assess AI outputs for technical accuracy, security effectiveness, logical reasoning, and alignment with cybersecurity best practices
– Identity and Access Management
– Secure Software Development
– Evaluate outputs related to vulnerability assessment, exploit analysis, security testing methodologies, threat modeling, risk assessment, and defensive security
– Identify inaccurate security recommendations, missed vulnerabilities, flawed remediation guidance, and technical inconsistencies in AI-generated outputs
– Provide structured feedback to improve AI performance in cybersecurity and secure software development workflows
– Support projects involving security research, vulnerability management, secure coding, and cyber risk assessment
– Review peer-developed deliverables to maintain quality and consistency standards
– Contribute domain expertise to improve AI systems focused on cybersecurity, threat intelligence, and security engineering
Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
– 3+ years of experience in ethical hacking, penetration testing, application security, red teaming, vulnerability assessment, or cybersecurity consulting
– Strong understanding of the OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK; Framework, CVSS, and common cybersecurity standards
– Experience using security testing tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, Wireshark, Nessus, Kali Linux, OWASP ZAP, or similar platforms
– Familiarity with programming or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, Go, or C/C++
– Knowledge of authentication, encryption, network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security concepts
– Strong analytical thinking, technical problem-solving, and attention to detail
– Excellent written English communication skills
– Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for technical accuracy and security quality
– Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
– Professional certifications such as CEH, OSCP, OSWE, GPEN, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, eJPT, or equivalent
– Experience working in security consulting firms, cybersecurity teams, financial institutions, cloud providers, or technology companies
– Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD security, container security, Kubernetes security, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security
– Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, XDR, SOC operations, and threat intelligence platforms
– Experience conducting red team exercises, bug bounty programs, or adversary simulations
– Knowledge of AI security, LLM security, prompt injection, model security, or adversarial machine learning
– Contributions to security research, responsible disclosure programs, open-source security projects, or cybersecurity conferences
