Position: Snowflake Cortex AI Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Cortex AI Engineer to design, develop, and implement AI-powered solutions using Snowflake’s Cortex AI capabilities. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Snowflake, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Python, with hands-on experience building intelligent data applications and AI-driven workflows.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement AI/ML solutions using Snowflake Cortex AI.
• Develop AI-powered applications leveraging Snowflake Cortex functions (Complete, Embed, Summarize, Translate, Sentiment, etc.).
• Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using Snowflake.
• Integrate LLMs with enterprise data stored in Snowflake.
• Develop data pipelines and AI workflows using Python and SQL.
• Optimize Snowflake performance, security, and cost for AI workloads.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver AI solutions.
• Create reusable AI components and best practices for enterprise implementations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to AI and data pipelines.
Mandatory Skills
• 8–12 years of IT experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex AI.
• Strong knowledge of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Strong SQL and Python programming skills.
• Experience with Prompt Engineering.
• Experience building RAG-based AI solutions.
• Knowledge of Vector Embeddings and Semantic Search.
• Experience integrating AI models with enterprise applications.
• Understanding of data engineering concepts and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience working with REST APIs.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with Snowpark.
• Knowledge of Lang Chain or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, or Anthropic Claude models.
• Familiarity with Vector Databases.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
• Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
